February 10 – 12, 2017
Westin Hotel Las Vegas, NV
$129/night is the special attendee rate.
Transportation from McCarran International Airport
It costs approximately $17 (+tip) from the airport to the Westin Las Vegas hotel (or any other Strip hotels, for that matter). Once you’ve grabbed your bags from baggage claim, head outdoors and queue up into the taxi line. The line moves relatively quickly. Up to 5 people can share a cab from the airport to the hotel at no extra cost. Be aware that if you need, you can ask for a van from the attendant at the head of the line.
Is there parking at the hotel?
Yes, there is free parking available in the parking garage.
What’s the dress code?
For The Diabetes UnConference? We’d prefer that you wear clothes.
Casual. Jeans and T-shirts are perfectly fine. Want to sit in the room with your bunny slippers? Fine by us.
Bring your bathing suit and workout clothes if you want to hit the fitness center or the pools (if they are open; they may not be ready by mid-March).
If you do want to dine out at one of the finer establishments, you’ll want to check on the dress code for the restaurant. If you’re looking to go clubbing or see a show, you might want to bring something dressier (some of the clubs have a dress code that involve no flip-flops or jeans, so check out the particular activity you’d like to do.).
Where can I find a roommate?
While we don’t offer a roommate connection service, you can post a “Hey, I’m looking for a roommate!” on our Facebook page and connect privately with those you are also looking to share a room at The Westin Las Vegas.
Where can I check in to the conference?
We will be sending you details as the time grows nearer to The Diabetes UnConference. We’ll have an entire conference area to ourselves and you’ll be able to check in on Friday and Saturday.
